The Principality of Liechtenstein is one of the smallest states in the world.
Situated in North-Eastern Switzerland, this Principality has a very particular history, above all in recent connection with banking secrecy.
Liechtenstein received Roman influence and saw the passage of northern and Germanic peoples during the entire Middle Ages.
However, the history of this little Principality started to get interesting after the presence of Napoleon, who dismantled the government, throwing these areas until then tied to the Austrian Empire, into a governmental crisis that saw the reigning Prince become Sovereign Prince, completely free of the Austrian Empire.
From that moment, Liechtenstein slowly developed into an independent state whose destiny has always been tied to Switzerland and Austria.
Taking advantage of financial crises in neighboring states and of world economic crises, Liechtenstein has managed to emerge from critical situations through practicing, like other principalities such as Monaco, banking secrecy, so useful to international companies looking for privacy in their own banking transactions.
Since then, the Principality of Liechtenstein has had the image of a fiscal paradise, refuge of powerful businesses and the wealthy from all over the world.

One of the richest men in the world
The present Prince is one of the richest men in the world and the population of Liechtenstein boasts the world’s highest per-head income.
In Liechtenstein, it is possible to enjoy very particular ambience that only certain corners in paradise can offer, a mix of atmospheres that render everything sparkling, safe, and rich.
Known and frequented above all in winter, thanks to nearby winter sports resorts, Liechtenstein can boast a select tourism that appreciates the particularity of these out-of-the-ordinary places.

Museums & Art Galleries
Numerous museums and art galleries make Liechtenstein a very interesting tourist destination.
The capital Vaduz is a city with a medieval center overlooked by a beautiful castle in pure Germanic style, and there is no lack of museums art galleries and the guaranteed luxury boutiques.
Rich in fashionable places, some of which go back to the Belle Epoque (when Vaduz was under the influence of Vienna), it was the home of cultural salons, the haunts of philosophers, poets and musicians.
This place cannot be missed by whoever loves places off the beaten track.
